FESCO Transportation Group (“FESCO”, the “Group”, a company managed by State Corporation Rosatom) has launched its first voyage from St. Petersburg to Turkey.
The vessel that set out on route on August 24 will deliver Russian export cargo to the ports of Ambarli (Istanbul) and Gebze, and on the way back it will take on containers with Turkish import cargo.
To develop this line FESCO plans to make such voyages regular, deploying several container vessels on the route to provide customers from Turkey and Russia with various options for organizing transportations.
“In current conditions, the market severely needs additional opportunities for delivery of goods between Russia and Turkey. Therefore, FESCO promptly launched a new route from St. Petersburg to offer our customers an alternative option for cargo delivery in both directions. Our plans include further development of this service, taking into account the demand and the needs of consignors,” said German Maslov, Deputy Director General, Liner and Logistics Division of FESCO.
