Air Waybill (AWB)

A document issued by an air carrier when transporting cargo by air. The air waybill is a delivery instruction, a transportation agreement and a cargo receipt. The document certifies the conclusion of the transportation agreement, acceptance of the cargo for transportation and the transportation terms.
