In 2025, FESCO Transport Group celebrated the 145th anniversary of its foundation. This jubilee became an important milestone for both the industry and the country: in his congratulatory message, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin highlighted the company’s unique contribution to the development of the nation’s transport system and economy.

Over almost 150 years, FESCO has evolved from a regional shipping company into one of the leaders of the transport and logistics market. Today, the Group’s vessels operate across the waters of all the world’s oceans, while its container trains connect Russia’s regions from east to west.

GEOGRAPHY OF MEANING

In the year of the anniversary, we united cities — and even continents. In Vladivostok, where our story began, a 400-meter mural brought key milestones to life: the founding of the shipping company, the “fiery voyages” of the Great Patriotic War, and routes reaching out to every continent. Meanwhile, in Antarctica, a flag created from drawings by our employees’ children was unfurled — a symbol that for FESCO there are no unreachable points on the map.

CONNECTIONS THAT MATTER MORE THAN ROUTES

Logistics is always about connections between people and cultures.

Our partnership with the Moscow Zoo in support of giant pandas reflected the rapid growth of container transportation between Russia and China. Pandas featured on our containers, Troika limited-edition transport cards, special educational initiatives, and themed events all served as a reminder that there are always true human values behind cargo volumes’ dry numbers.

Our commitment to connecting countries and discovering new opportunities also continued at 2025 Eastern Economic Forum, where we brought together logistics and gastronomy. The festival gave thousands of visitors a chance to literally taste the countries linked to Primorsky Krai through FESCO routes. A part of the proceeds was donated to Rusfond charitable foundation to support seriously ill children.

CARE AND ATTENTION FOR EVERYONE

Projects dedicated to the 145th anniversary included numerous family and children’s events — from educational games and performances to volunteer initiatives featuring free ice cream distribution. We also paid special attention to our veterans and to preserving history by republishing unique books about the formation of the fleet. These heartfelt initiatives received broad media coverage and strong public support, once again proving that FESCO is, above all, about people.

MEMORY AND THE FUTURE

We sought to ensure that the chronicle of FESCO would resonate in a vivid and meaningful way, paying tribute to every generation.

Exhibitions in Moscow and Vladivostok, a detailed special report on Russia-24 TV channel, and a special multimedia project with TASS — all honored the generations of port workers and seafarers who helped build the company.

At the same time, the anniversary year is also about looking toward tomorrow. A joint project with Rosatom at Russia National Center in Primorsky Krai showcased the technologies of the future that we are already implementing today.

A WARM FINALE TO A GREAT YEAR

We chose to conclude this remarkable year in a truly warm and family-like atmosphere. A New Year’s town and a sea-themed skating rink in Vladivostok became our gift to the city that has always been — and remains — our home.

All anniversary events conveyed one key message: FESCO is proud of its great history and is equally determined to build a successful future!
